Whiskey slush is a frozen cocktail made with whiskey, ice, and sugar or another sweetener. It is a popular summer drink, and it is also a popular adult beverage to serve at parties and gatherings. Whiskey slush can be made with any type of whiskey, but bourbon is the most common type of whiskey used. The ice is typically crushed or shaved, and the sugar or sweetener is added to taste. Other ingredients, such as fruit juice or soda, can also be added to make a whiskey slush.

WHISKEY SLUSH
My mom makes this every year for our Christmas party, and everyone loves it. I have made it for several of my own parties and it gets rave reviews! I like to split the recipe and do half with alcohol and half without. I use food coloring to color one of them pink so people can tell the difference. This recipe makes 4 quarts of frozen slush, so make sure you have containers large enough to hold it all in the freezer.

Steps:
- 1. Bring water to a boil and brew tea according to directions.
- 2. Remove tea bags and add sugar, stirring until dissolved.
- 3. Add juices and whiskey. Stir to combine.
- 4. Pour mixture into a large container with a lid. Place in freezer for at least 24 hours
- 5. Remove from freezer and dump frozen mixture into a punch bowl and pour 7-up over top.
- 6. Stir to break upice and turn to slush. SERVE IMMEDIATELY.
Tips:
- Choose the right whiskey. A good whiskey slush starts with a good whiskey. Look for a whiskey that is smooth and flavorful, with a bit of a bite. Some good options include bourbon, rye, or Irish whiskey.
- Use fresh fruit. Fresh fruit will give your whiskey slush a bright, refreshing flavor. Some good options include berries, citrus fruits, and tropical fruits.
- Add some sweetness. A little bit of sweetness will help to balance out the tartness of the fruit and the bite of the whiskey. You can use sugar, honey, or agave syrup.
- Don't over-blend. Over-blending will make your whiskey slush too icy and slushy. Blend the ingredients just until they are combined.
- Serve immediately. Whiskey slushes are best served immediately, while they are still cold and slushy. You can garnish them with a slice of fruit or a mint sprig.
Conclusion:
Whiskey slushes are a delicious and refreshing way to enjoy whiskey. They are perfect for parties, picnics, and hot summer days. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can easily make your own whiskey slush at home. So next time you're looking for a refreshing drink, give a whiskey slush a try.
