SPICY PRETZELS
Pretzels with a bite! This snack is shaken, not baked. Lemon pepper is the secret ingredient, and gives the spice marinade mixture a wonderful zest.

SPICY PRETZELS
My daughter got this recipe from her friends mom . The small pretzels work the best. And for some reason , the oil definitely makes a difference! We've made them with Crisco, and we've made them with other brands, and they don't taste the same! *** seems to be too hot for a few people , PLEASE ADJUST the cayenne pepper if you don't like HOT***

Steps:
- Put pretzels in a gallon resealable bag. Mix cayenne pepper, lemon pepper, garlic powder, ranch, and canola oil together. Pour over pretzels in baggie. It's best if you can leave overnight but a couple of hours will work, too. I always bag them the night before and cook them the next morning.
- Spread out on a large baking sheet. Bake at 200 for 40 min.
- .*** My husband likes a real kick to these, so I double the cayenne, lemon pepper, and garlic salt when mixing the spices... He LOVES them like that!!***

Steps:
- Pre-heat oven to 250 deg F.
- Add butter, whiskey, brown sugar, garlic and cayenne to saucepan and cook over low heat until melted.
- Spread pretzels on a baking sheet and pour butter mixture over pretzels. Toss to coat.
- Bake 10 minutes. Stir mixture and bake 10 more minutes.
- Allow to cool and enjoy!
Tips:
- For the perfect crispy pretzel sticks, make sure to boil them in a baking soda solution before baking. This will help them puff up and get that classic pretzel texture.
- If you don't have baking soda, you can use lye instead. However, lye is a dangerous chemical and should be handled with care. Be sure to wear gloves and eye protection when working with lye.
- To make sure your pretzels are evenly coated in the spicy seasoning, toss them in a bowl with the seasoning mixture before baking.
- If you like your pretzels extra spicy, you can add more cayenne pepper or chili powder to the seasoning mixture.
- These pretzels are best served fresh out of the oven, but they can also be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Conclusion:
These Whodini Spicy Pretzel Sticks are the perfect snack for any occasion. They're crispy, flavorful, and have just the right amount of heat. The best part is that they're so easy to make! So next time you're looking for a delicious and satisfying snack, give these pretzels a try.
