FAVORITE CHEESY RANCH BREAD (ABM)
This is the bread my kids beg for! It is great toasted or served along with a good bowl of chili. Enjoy! :) (Special note: the optional cubed cheese add yummy-gooey pockets of cheese through out the bread!... give it a try) :) Makes a LARGE 1 1/2 pound loaf. UPDATE: As many of reviewers have suggested, adding another TB of dry ranch dressing mix adds a wonderful boost of flavor! I usually add 2+ TB., but wanted to be conservative, due to sodium content concerns of many.

CHEESE AND CHIVES BREAD (BREAD MACHINE - ABM)
The original recipe (from Oster) calls for cottage cheese, but I think I'll try it with ricotta, as that's usually what I have on hand.

Steps:
- All ingredients should be at room temperature.
- Add ingredients to your bread machine as the directions instruct.
- Mine say to add liquid ingredients to bread pan.
- Add all dry ingredients except yeast to bread pan.
- Make a well in dry ingredients and carefully add yeast.
- Choose the "Sweet" bread setting.
- Choose crust color if applicable.
- Press Start!
Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients to ensure the best flavor. Choose a flavorful cheese, such as cheddar, Gruyère, or Gouda. Use a dry white wine that is not too sweet, such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio.
- Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will develop the gluten in the flour and make the bread tough. Mix the dough just until it comes together.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size. This will take about 1-2 hours. Punch down the dough and let it rise again for 30 minutes before shaping it.
- Bake the bread in a preheated oven until the crust is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
- Serve the bread warm with butter, cheese, or your favorite spreads.
Conclusion:
Wine and cheese bread is a great bread to serve at parties or gatherings. It is easy to make and can be customized to your liking. Experiment with different types of cheese and wine to find your favorite combination. This bread is also a great way to use up leftover wine and cheese.
