Cheese and Sausage Appetizers image

I got this recipe from a home economics instructor when I was teaching in Oklahoma. I think it represents the Southwest because of its spicy flavor. It can be used as an appetizer before a Mexican meal or served as a snack.

These appetizers were a bit too greasy for my taste, but they were still pretty good. I think I'll try making them again with a different type of cheese.

I'm not a fan of crescent roll pastry, so I used puff pastry instead. The appetizers turned out great! The puff pastry was flaky and buttery, and the cheese and sausage were perfectly melted.

These appetizers were a bit too salty for my taste, but other than that they were really good. I'll definitely make them again, but I'll use less salt next time.
