I'm not a big fan of cherry cookies, but these ones are an exception. They're so soft and chewy, and the cherry flavor is subtle but still noticeable. I'll definitely be making these again.

These cookies are a bit too sweet for my taste, but they're still good. I think I'll try reducing the amount of sugar next time I make them.

I'm not a fan of maraschino cherries, so I used dried cherries instead. The cookies were still good, but I think I would have preferred them with maraschino cherries.

I'm allergic to nuts, so I substituted the walnuts with chopped dried apricots. The cookies were still delicious, and I didn't miss the walnuts at all.

I had some trouble finding candied cherries, so I used dried cherries instead. The cookies still turned out great, but the texture was a bit different. I think I prefer the candied cherries better.
