This is another good one from my Grandma Whitehead. We really enjoyed this one at the cookie swap, and I have made them several times since. The don't last too long around my house.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
- 2. Cream butter and add sugar gradually.
- 3. Add flour, cherries, pecans, water and vanilla, and mix thoroughly.
- 4. Shape into balls and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
- 5. Bake for 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
- 6. Roll in powdered sugar.
