CHICKEN PARMESAN PITAS image

0.625 cups chicken, cooked and shredded
0.125 cups olive oil
0.25 teaspoons salt
0.125 teaspoons black pepper
0.5 teaspoons garlic powder
0.5 teaspoons Italian seasoning
0.165 cups Italian breadcrumbs
2 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 each pita sandwich bread
0.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
0.25 cups marinara sauce (serving day)

Steps:

  • Directions: In a large bowl, mix together chicken, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, breadcrumbs, and Parmesan cheese. Fill pita bread with chicken mixture and shredded mozzarella cheese. Freezing Directions: Individually wrap pitas in plastic wrap and place into indicated number of freezer bags. Label and freeze. To serve: reheat in microwave for 30 seconds. Serve with marinara sauce.
