Chocolate Chip Pie image

This pie is heavenly. If you are looking for an easy to prepare dessert recipe with impressive results, this is it! Best served warm with a little whipped cream or ice cream :) Adapted from "Royer's Round Top Cafe" recipe for Bud's Chocolate Chip Pie.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 c sugar
1 c packed brown sugar
1 c flour
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 c melted unsalted butter
1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
1 10 inch pie shell (9 inch will work just fine as well. i used the recipe for my "no roll pie crust" & it worked out nicely.

Steps:

  • 1. Mix sugars and flour together.
  • 2. Stir in eggs and then the butter, combining well.
  • 3. Fold in the chips and nuts if you are using them.
  • 4. Spread in the prepared crust.
  • 5. Bake at 325 degress for 60 to 70 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • 6. Let pie cool and set before cutting. Enjoy!
