- 1. Slice muffins into halves and cut each half into fourths and arrange on cookie sheet. Place crabmeat in colander and rinse with cold water. Drain crabmeat on paper towels, checking for shells. Mix crabmeat with softened butter, cheese, mayonnaise, and seasonings. Spread on English muffins. Freeze for at least 30 minutes. (Can be frozen for several weeks.) Broil until they puff up and are bubbly and slightly golden brown. Serve hot.
