Easy Sour Dough Rolls image

These are so easy. No starters to have to feed all the time. They turn out great. They are a big hit.

Number Of Ingredients 8

5 c all purpose flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 c sugar (divided)
1t tsp salt
1 pkg dry yeast
1 c water, warm
2 c buttermilk
1/2 c oil

Steps:

  • 1. Dissolve yeast in water with 1 teaspoon sugar. Mix dry ingredients flour,baking powderremaining sugarand salt in a large mixing bowl. Add buttermilk and yeast mixture and stir well. Cover and let rise for about 3 hours or over night. Roll out into balls and place on lightly greased cookie sheets. I let mine rise again for about an hour. Then Bake for 10 minutes on 400. Brush the tops with butter when done.
