Yield 1 Egg in a basket

Number Of Ingredients 7

Cookie Cutter
Bread
Eggs
Butter
Optional:
Cheese
Ham

Steps:

  • Butter both sides of a piece of thick bread. Cut a hole in the middle, using a cookie cutter or glass. Drop a small bit of butter into a skillet on low heat. Place bread in the skillet. Give it a few moments, and put 1 egg into the middle of the hole. When the egg begins to set, flip. Keep flipping until the egg is done the way you want. Keep the heat on low and don't get impatient- you'll have ashes on charcoal if you put the heat up too high. If you make more than one, put more butter in the pan each time. As a slight variation, you can put a slice of your favorite cheese and/or a deli thin slice of ham about a minute before it's done cooking. Do not flip once you've put the cheese on.

These were a fun and easy breakfast for a lazy Sunday morning. I used a combination of cheddar and mozzarella cheese, and they were gooey and delicious. I'll definitely be making these again!

These were absolutely delicious! I used a combination of cheddar and mozzarella cheese and cooked them in the air fryer. They came out perfectly cooked and so cheesy. I will definitely be making these again!

These were a disaster! The eggs leaked out of the crescent roll dough, and they were all over the baking sheet. I don't know what I did wrong.

These were okay. I thought they were a little bland. I think I would have liked them better if I had used a different type of cheese or added some herbs.

I was looking for a quick and easy breakfast recipe, and this fit the bill perfectly. I used bacon instead of ham, and they were still delicious. I'll definitely be making these again.

I've made these eggs in a blanket several times now, and they're always a hit. They're so simple to make, and they're always cooked perfectly. I love that I can use any type of cheese or meat that I have on hand.

These were so easy and tasty! I used pre-made crescent roll dough to save time, and they turned out perfectly. My kids loved them!
