Funny Bones image

I found this easy recipes off Epicurious.com. Another quick and easy way to use pretzels and chocolate. I haven't made these yet, but looks like little bones. Use pretzels sticks or rods in various sizes. Great for your halloween festivities. Instead of white chocolate chips I wonder if white almond bark can be substituted?

Time 20m

Yield 36 bones, 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 (12 ounce) package white chocolate chips
36 pretzel sticks
72 miniature marshmallows

Steps:

  • Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
  • Place the chips in a double boiler over just-simmering water and melt, stirring frequently. As soon as the chips are just melted (there may even be a few solid ones left), remove the pan from the heat and remove the top section of the double boiler so the chocolate's temperature doesn't keep rising.
  • Stick marshmallows onto both ends of the pretzels, with the marshmallows' flat sides parallel to the pretzel.
  • Dip each pretzel in the chocolate and lift out with a fork, letting the excess drip back in the bowl. Lay the bones on the baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes to harden the chocolate. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator or at a cool room temperature.

The wings were a bit dry, but the sauce was good. I would recommend cooking them for a shorter amount of time.

These wings were a little too spicy for me, but they were still good. I would recommend using less cayenne pepper if you don't like spicy food.
