Granny's Molasses Cookies image

Whenever we went to my granny's for afternoon tea we knew we would be served these. These are nice and chewy. These have very similar ingredients to other molasses cookies recipes posted-the exception is the addition of maple flavouring and vanilla which i think make a nice addition! I'm a huge oatmeal/chocolate chip cookie fan but have to admit that these are a nice change from the everyday cookie, I hope you do too. (Don't overcook-unless you like crispy cookies).

These cookies are a great way to use up leftover molasses. I always have a jar of molasses in my pantry, so I can make these cookies anytime I have a craving for something sweet.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my cookies turned out flat and hard. I'm going to try again with a different recipe.

Overall, I thought these cookies were just okay. They weren't bad, but they weren't anything special either.

These cookies are a bit too dry for my liking. I think I'll try adding a little bit of milk or water to the dough next time.

I had a hard time getting the cookies to spread out in the oven. I think I might have needed to chill the dough for longer.

These cookies are a little too sweet for my taste, but they're still good. I think I'll try using less sugar next time.

I added a little bit of chocolate chips to my cookies, and they were delicious! I also used dark molasses instead of regular molasses, which gave them a deeper flavor.

These cookies are so easy to make, and they're always a crowd-pleaser. I love that I can make them ahead of time and freeze them, so I always have some on hand when I need them.

I've been making these cookies for years, and they're always a hit! My family loves them, and I even take them to bake sales and potlucks.

These molasses cookies are a classic for a reason! They're soft, chewy, and have the perfect amount of spice. I love that they're not too sweet, so you can really taste the molasses flavor.
