Hidden Pear Salad image

Cool and creamy salads are so good and I have found so many good ones on JAP

Number Of Ingredients 6

16 oz can pears, drained and juice reserved
3 oz package lime jello mix
3 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 tsp lemon juice
1.3 oz package whipped topping mix
garnish: whipped topping, lime slices

Steps:

  • 1. Pour pear juice into a saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat; stir in gelatin until dissolved. Set aside to cool to room temperature.
  • 2. Puree pears in a blender;set aside. Blend cream cheese and lemon juice until light and fluffy; mix in pears, and set aside.
  • 3. Prepare whipped topping according to package directions;fold into pear mixture. Add cooled gelatin; pour into 8x8 baking pan, chill overnight. Garnish with whipped topping and lime slices, if desired.
