My Czech family dinner or lunch recipe has always been a favorite of mine. It still brings back childhood memories!

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 (8 ounce) package egg noodles
1 medium head cabbage, chopped
¼ cup butter
1 onion, chopped
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  • Place cabbage in a steamer over 1 inch of boiling water, and cover. Cook until tender but still firm, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  • Heat butter in a deep skillet. Saute the onion until tender. Stir in cabbage and noodles. Season with salt and pepper.
