Homemade Spaghetti Sauce image

This sauce is incredible. One of my own concoctions but good enough for a marriage proposal. Simmering this sauce just makes it better. The batch is large enough to freeze some for later use. If there is any left!

Number Of Ingredients 13

3 lb ground beef
2 green peppers seeds removed and chopped
2 onions chopped
1 can(s) mushrooms
2 large cans of tomato sauce
2 large cans of tomatoes
2 can(s) tomato paste
1 can(s) tomato juice
1 salt and pepper (season to taste)
2 bay leaves
1 tsp sweet basil
2 tsp oregano
1 garlic to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Brown ground beef and add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 8 hours. Remove bay leaves before serving. This sauce can be frozen or canned to use at a later time. NOTE: Spices should be adjusted to your taste. This sauce is quite mellow.
