Hoppin Garlic Habanero Salsa image

Clean Fresh Flavor with a Kick. This is more of a Pico de Gallo than a salsa as it is very chunky. This recipe took 2nd Place in Macayo's Restaurants Chain Salsa Competition in the Phoenix and Las Vegas Area and was put on their Summer 2012 Menus.

I'm not usually a fan of spicy food, but this salsa is an exception. It's got just enough heat to give it a little kick without being too overwhelming. I love it on tacos, burritos, and even just as a dip with chips.

This salsa is so easy to make and it's so delicious. I love that I can adjust the heat level by adding more or less habaneros. I've also tried adding other ingredients like mango and pineapple, which gives it a really nice tropical flavor.
