Jalapeno Salsa image

Another one of my salsa recipes written down on the back of an old envelope. I used to make this years ago and loved it's zing in chili! Yields about 4 pints

Number Of Ingredients 9

3 c tomatoes: peeled and chopped
3 c jalapenos: seeded and chopped
1 c chopped onion
6 clove garlic: minced
2 Tbsp cilantro, fresh
2 tsp oregano, dried
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cumin
1 c cider vinegar

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients into a heavy pot
  • 2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer for 10 minutes. STIR to prevent scorching
  • 3. Pour into jars, leave 1/4" head space
  • 4. Process hot water bath for 15 minutes
