Kani Salad (Imitation Crab Salad) image

I love this salad because it's not really a salad and it has one of my favorite foods, Kani! Kani is a Japanese sushi item, also called imitation crab and crab stick. This dish is great at parties.

I'm a vegetarian, so I used tofu instead of imitation crab. It was a great substitute and the salad was still delicious.

This salad is so versatile! You can add or remove ingredients to suit your taste. I like to add chopped red onion and bell pepper for a bit of extra crunch.

I used fresh crab instead of imitation crab and it was amazing! The flavor was so much better. If you can find fresh crab, I highly recommend using it.

This kani salad recipe is a keeper! I've made it several times and it's always a hit. The combination of imitation crab, cucumber, avocado, and mayonnaise is perfect, and the addition of tobiko and sesame seeds gives it a nice crunch and flavor boost
