MANDARIN ROMAINE SALAD image

Number Of Ingredients 13

4 teaspoons sugar
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/4 head romaine lettuce
1/4 head iceberg lettuce
1/2 cup chopped celery
2 green onions, chopped
1 cup mandarin oranges,drain
2 T. sugar
2 T. vinegar
1/4 cup oil
1/2 tsp salt & pepper
1 T. parsley
dash cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Cook sugar over medium heat until melted. Add almonds, stir, and turn onto waxed paper to cool. Mix next five ingredients in bowl. Stir dressing ingredients together and toss with salad.
