1 quart fresh apple cider
½ cup maple syrup
4 cinnamon sticks
10 whole allspice berries
Zest from 1 orange, removed with a vegetable peeler
½ cup dark rum, optional

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, stir together all of the ingredients. Bring to a boil, then adjust the heat to simmer for 10 minutes. Serve hot.
