The butter, EVOO, bacon, brown sugar and soy cook into a thick, sweet, smoky, salty syrup that melts into the beans during slow cooking and makes them over the top delicious. They're my family's favorite green beans, so I make them all the time....

Steps:
- 1. In a small saucepan, add oil, butter, and diced bacon.
- 2. Heat over medium heat until butter melts and bacon is cooked and just crisped. Stir well.
- 3. Add brown sugar and soy; stirring until smooth.
- 4. OVEN: Bake at 350 degrees, covered, for 30 minutes and then uncovered for 15-20 minutes.
- 5. SLOW COOKER: Cook on low 6-7 hours or high 4-5 hours.
