Steps:
- Oven 350 degrees farenheit. In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt and 1/2 tsp of nutmeg. Add butter, egg and vanilla. Beat at low speed until well mixed. If not coming together, mix and get together with hand. Roll rounded tsps into balls. Roll balls in red and green colored sugar with nutmeg added in. Put on ungreased cookie sheets 10-12 mintues. If not using cream of tartar, may have to flatten slightly with glass.
