Pain a La Viande image

Very regional recipe for Quebec City, I'm not sure where else. This is a wonderful kid friendly meal and a great way to have homemade 'fast food' while still eating fairly healthy. I couldn't find it on here and had a heck of a time finding it on the web. (If you've seen recipes for Pain de Viande that is completely different. Pain a la Viande is bread with meat whereas Pain de Viande is meatloaf)

I didn't like the combination of beef, pork, and veal. I think it would be better with just one type of meat.

I'm not usually a fan of meatloaf, but this pain a la viande was really good. The breading was crispy and the meat was moist and flavorful.

I love pain a la viande! It's such a hearty and flavorful dish. I especially like the way the bread soaks up all the juices from the meat.

I've made this pain a la viande several times now, and it's always a crowd-pleaser. The combination of beef, pork, and veal is perfect, and the bread is always light and fluffy.
