Got this from a close friend many many years ago. Kids love this.

crust:
3/4 c butter/margarine, soft - [1 1/2 sticks]
3/4 c confectioners' sugar, sifted
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
glaze:
2 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp sugar
1/8 tsp mace
2/3 c orange juce
1/2 c raspberry jelly or currant jelly
dash(es) red food coloring [optional]
2 can(s) sliced peaches, well drained [large cans]
8 oz, container cool whip

Steps:

  • 1. 1. Cream together butter and sugar. Blend in flour for a soft dough. Press into a 12" pizza pan, using either flour or sugar on your hands, as it is a bit sticky.
  • 2. 2.Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven. Bake for 20-30 minutes, until lightly brown like a cookie.
  • 3. 3. Meanwhile, make the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the glaze ingredients. Cook until boiling and thick.
  • 4. 4 Remove crust from oven. Arrange the well drained sliced peaches in a circular pattern over on the crust.
  • 5. 5. Brush the glazed over the peaches. Refrigerate until cold. Serve with Cool Whip or whipped cream.
  • 6. Enjoy it like we all do!!!!
