- In a large bowl, cream the shortening, sugars and peanut butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in water and vanilla. Combine the flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda and salt; beat into creamed mixture just until combined. Pour into a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. , Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. , In a small bowl, beat the icing ingredients until smooth. Pour over warm bars. Cool on a wire rack.
