Quick French Salad Dressing image

This simple dressing has served me for many years. Using this basic recipe, I can easily make simple variations, usually with ingredients I have on hand. As a result, I have always made my own salad dressings. -Carolyn Ozment, Gaylesville, Alabama

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons vinegar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 garlic clove, minced
Dash pepper
Salad greens

Steps:

  • In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the oil, vinegar, salt, garlic and pepper; shake well. Serve over salad greens.
