Rolo Pretzel Turtles image

A friend shared this recipe with me a few days ago. If someone has already posted one like it please excuse. I am adding these to my Christmas basket for my grandkids. I got the gift bags (clear see through) and will fill it with these turtles and tie with a Christmas ribbon. When I saw them I thought of my oldest grandson...

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my turtles didn't turn out right. They were too hard and the caramel was too runny.

These turtles were a little too salty for my taste. I think I'll use fewer pretzels next time.

I'm not a big fan of caramel, but I loved these turtles. The chocolate and pretzels balanced out the sweetness perfectly.
