Sausage and Rice Casserole image

Everyone who has tried this really liked it. It can be served as a main dish with vegetables or it is really good as a meal by itself with bread and butter.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 lb fresh ground sausage
1 c uncooked rice
1 can(s) beef consomme
1 can(s) french onion soup
2 Tbsp butter, cold

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375 Put butter in casserole dish in preheating oven to be melting.
  • 2. Brown & drain sausage
  • 3. Once the sausage is browned, carefully get the casserole dish with the melted butter out of the oven.
  • 4. Put sausage, uncooked rice, consomme and french onion in the casserole dish. Place in the oven and cook 45 mins or so until the rice is cooked. Serve and enjoy!
