Snowballs (Date Balls) image

These are one of my favorite cookies to make at Christmas. Hope you and your family enjoy them as much as we do.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 stick butter
1 c sugar
1 8 oz package chopped dates (make sure they are not sugar coated)
2 c rice krispies
1 c pecans (chopped
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 box confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Combine first three ingredients and cook for approximately 10 minutes until it comes to a boil. Take off the eye and cool slightly.
  • 2. Add all remaining ingredients except confectioner sugar. Dump onto wax paper. Roll into quarter-sized balls.
  • 3. Add confectioner sugar to a large plastic bag or bowl. Dump balls into large plastic bag or bowl. Toss until covered. Store in Christmas tins.

These snowballs were a hit at my holiday party! Everyone loved them. They're so festive and delicious. I especially liked the combination of dates, walnuts, and coconut. Will definitely make these again next year.

Not bad! The snowballs were easy to make and had a nice texture. However, I found them to be a bit too sweet for my taste. Next time, I'll try reducing the amount of sugar or using a different type of sweetener. Overall, a solid recipe with some room
