Southwestern Rub image

Flavor goes from ordinary to extraordinary when you grill with a rub. Chicken, pork and beef will never be the same.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
1 large clove garlic, finely chopped

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients.
  • Spread rub evenly on 1 pound boneless meat (chicken, pork, beef) or 2 1/2 pounds 1/2-inch-thick pork chops. Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes but no longer than 24 hours. Grill meat as desired.

I've tried many different southwestern rubs, but this one is by far the best. It has the perfect balance of spices and it really enhances the flavor of the meat. I highly recommend this rub!
