Strawberries and Romaine with Poppy Seed Dressing image

I often include this recipe in our strawberry farm newsletter. I get so many compliments on this pretty mix of strawberries, lettuce and onion. The mayonnaise-based poppy seed dressing is actually nice and light.-Laurie Andrews, Milton, Ontario

I tried this salad with a balsamic vinaigrette instead of the poppy seed dressing and it was amazing! I think I like it even better than the original.

This salad was a little too sweet for my taste, but I think I just used too many strawberries. Next time I'll use half the amount.
