1 lb Cornish hen
2 tablespoons slivered almonds
2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
1/3 cup uncooked long grain and wild rice blend
3 tablespoons butter
1 cup water
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup small mushroom, sliced

I'm allergic to nuts. Can I substitute something else for the walnuts in the stuffing?

The stuffing was a little dry for my taste. I would add more butter or broth next time.

I followed the recipe exactly and the hens were overcooked. I would recommend reducing the cooking time by 10 minutes.
