SUCCOTASH recipe.. From The Early Days of Yore! image

This recipe is from a Church Cook Book ,"The Early Days of Yore". A previous neighbor copied it, and mailed to me a few years back. It is a very old recipe from the eastern colonies. MADE WITH LIMA BEANS, CORN, AND SALT PORK. It is a wonderful dish to take to pot luck dinners. It is always an unexpected dish, and enjoyed by all.

I found this recipe to be very confusing. The instructions were unclear, and I ended up with a pot of mush.

The succotash was good, but it wasn't anything special. I probably won't make it again.

The succotash was a bit too sweet for me. I think I'll cut down on the sugar next time.

This succotash was a little bland for my taste. I would have liked it to have more seasoning.
