Toll House Walnut Pie image

This version of the popular pie contains lots of crunchy walnuts. At its best when served warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 (9 inch) pie shell
2 eggs
½ cup white sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 cup butter, melted
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs until foamy. Beat in white sugar and brown sugar until ingredients are thoroughly combined, then add flour. Stir well. Blend in melted butter.
  • Stir chocolate chips and walnuts into mixture. Pour mixture into pie shell.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
