Weenie Soup image

This recipe is very old. It is an unusual and delicious soup. Serve with a crusty sourdough or rolls. Low-fat hot dogs work fine in this recipe.

4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 onion, chopped
4 cups water
1 (26 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
8 frankfurters, sliced

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan over medium high heat, combine the potatoes, onion and water and boil for 15 minutes, or until tender.
  • Add the tomato soup and the hot dogs and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the hot dogs are heated through.
