Apple Crisp (with Corn Flakes) image

Sorry I didn'tget a photo, I didn't think it would go so quickly. Very easy.

5 apples, peeled and sliced
1 c brown sugar
1/2 c oats, regular
1/2 c flour
1/2 c corn flakes
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 stick butter, softened
1/4 c apple juice or water

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375 degress.
  • 2. Put half of the apples in a greased 9x9\" pan.
  • 3. Blend together remaining ingredients, except juice, and crumble half the flour mixture over the apples.
  • 4. Cover with remaining apples and flour mixture.
  • 5. Pour juice over top.
  • 6. Bake 35 minutes.

Not bad! I thought the corn flakes were a bit too crunchy for my taste, but the rest of the crisp was great. The apples were perfectly tender and the cinnamon sugar topping was divine. Next time, I might try using rolled oats instead of corn flakes.
