Original Red Eye Gravy is just country ham drippings and strong black coffee. I have had it many times made by my MomMoo (mom) like this poured hot over grits and fried eggs with a hot buttered biscuit to dip in it! YUMMMMM!!!! When I want the real deal this is how I still make it. But my kids think the bitter has to be calmed...

This gravy is just okay. It's not bad, but it's not great either. I think I'll try a different recipe next time.

This gravy is a bit too spicy for my taste, but it's still very good. I think I'll try it again with less black pepper next time.

This gravy is amazing! I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out perfectly. The gravy is thick and flavorful, and the red eye adds a nice depth of flavor. I will definitely be making this again.
