MAPLE APPLE TURKEY SAUSAGE

Maple Apple Turkey Sausage image

I love breakfast sausage, but most store-bought brands are high in calories and fat and not very diet-friendly. Try this slightly sweet version made with real maple syrup. The apples help keep the sausage moist. I like to cook up a batch on Sundays and store in the fridge for quick breakfasts all week. Take care not to overcook the patties.

MAPLE BREAKFAST SAUSAGE

Homemade breakfast sausage made with ground pork and seasonings. Great cooked in crumbles for biscuits and gravy, or in patties for breakfast sandwiches or eggs benedict. I like to premake a large batch and freeze the patties, then just take out a few the night before.

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality ingredients. Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make a big difference in the taste of your breakfast sammies. Look for high-quality chicken sausage, maple syrup, and apples.
  • Cook the chicken sausage thoroughly. Chicken sausage can be a source of foodborne illness, so it's important to cook it thoroughly before eating it. Cook the sausage according to the package directions or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Don't overcook the eggs. Overcooked eggs are tough and rubbery. Cook the eggs just until they are set to your liking.
  • Use a variety of toppings. In addition to the chicken sausage, eggs, and apples, you can also add other toppings to your breakfast sammies, such as cheese, bacon, avocado, or salsa.
  • Serve immediately. Breakfast sammies are best enjoyed fresh and hot. Serve them immediately after they are made.

Conclusion:

Apple maple chicken sausage breakfast sammies are a delicious and easy way to start your day. With a few simple ingredients, you can make a hearty and satisfying breakfast that will keep you full until lunchtime. Whether you're looking for a quick weekday breakfast or a special weekend brunch, these breakfast sammies are sure to please.
