Yield 20 grilled shrimp, 2 serving(s)

1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons garlic, minced
salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon wasabi powder

Steps:

  • Rinse shrimp thoroughly and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Combine olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper and optional wasabi powder in a bowl. Add shrimp, ensuring shrimp are evenly coated.
  • Heat a non-stick grill to medium high and lay down the shrimp when the grill comes to temperature. Shut the lid and check in two minutes as they cook quickly. • Marinate the shrimp: Marinating the shrimp in a flavorful mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and herbs enhances their taste and keeps them moist during grilling.
  • Use the right skewers: Choose metal or bamboo skewers that are long enough to hold the shrimp without overcrowding.
  • Preheat the grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat to ensure the shrimp cook evenly and quickly.
  • Grill the shrimp: Grill the shrimp skewers for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and opaque.
  • Serve immediately: Serve the grilled shrimp skewers hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as lemon butter sauce or garlic mayonnaise.
