A quick and easy way to prepare a nice chicken casserole. Not quite sure why it's called German style since the cheese used is Italian, but that's the name it had when I found it for a request on the recipe request board.

Tips:

  • For crispy skin, pat the chicken dry before baking.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked through to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius).
  • If you don't have a meat thermometer, you can check if the chicken is done by piercing it with a fork or toothpick. The juices should run clear, not pink.
  • Let the chicken rest for 10-15 minutes before serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful dish.
  • Serve the chicken with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a salad.
