This fish will just melt in your mouth! I like to serve over a quinoa-kale salad. Also, please don't use regular bread crumbs as they are too dense.

Tips:

  • Choose the right fish: Firm-fleshed fish like cod, tilapia, or haddock work best for this recipe. They hold their shape well during cooking and won't fall apart.
  • Use quality panko breadcrumbs: Panko breadcrumbs are lighter and airier than regular breadcrumbs, which gives the fish a crispy coating. Look for panko breadcrumbs that are made with white bread, as they will have a milder flavor.
  • Season the fish fillets well: Don't be afraid to season the fish fillets liberally with salt and pepper. This will help to bring out their natural flavor.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking sheet: Make sure to leave enough space between the fish fillets on the baking sheet so that they can cook evenly.
  • Bake the fish fillets until they are golden brown: The fish fillets are done cooking when they are golden brown and flaky. Check them regularly to make sure they don't overcook.

Conclusion:

Baked panko-crusted fish fillets are a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. The crispy panko coating and flaky fish are sure to please everyone at the table. Serve with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple green salad.
