Steps:
- Trim strawberries and cut into wedges. In a small heavy saucepan heat vinegar and brown sugar over moderate heat, stirring, until sugar is dissolved and simmer 1 minute. Remove pan from heat and add strawberries, tossing to coat. Scoop ice cream into 2 bowls and top with warm glazed strawberries.
Tips:
- Choose ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
- Use a good quality balsamic vinegar. A thick, syrupy vinegar will produce the best results.
- If you don't have balsamic vinegar, you can substitute another type of vinegar, such as red wine vinegar or sherry vinegar.
- Add a little honey or sugar to the strawberries if you want them to be sweeter.
- Serve the strawberries immediately after they are made, or they will start to lose their flavor.
Conclusion:
Balsamic strawberries are a quick and easy dessert that is perfect for any occasion. They are also a healthy snack that is packed with antioxidants. So next time you are looking for a sweet treat, try balsamic strawberries. You won't be disappointed!
