I found this online recently, but don't remember where, so the credit for this simple, lovely textured, and delicious bread goes to someone else. It was my husbands first attempt at breadmaking (of any kind) and it turned out so fabulous! It's a simple basic bread that smells and tastes delightful. We served it with a homemade Garlic butter spread. My husband set the opened beer out the night before to go flat.Time is approximate.

Time 3h5m

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 Tbsp butter
1 c flat beer
2 1/2 c all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
1 Tbsp italian seasonings

Steps:

  • 1. Add all ingredients (liquids 1st) to bread machine and select dough cycle. Roll dough out & onto pizza pan, spread with olive oil and let rest for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400, bake crust first for 5-10 minutes. Smother with your favorite toppings and bake for an aditional 20 minutes.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients. This will help ensure that your bread has the best flavor and texture.
  • Make sure your yeast is active. If you're using active dry yeast, proof it in warm water before adding it to the bread machine.
  • Don't crowd the bread machine. Make sure there's enough room for the dough to rise without overflowing.
  • Set the bread machine to the correct setting. Most bread machines have a setting for beer bread.
  • Don't open the bread machine while the bread is baking. This will cause the bread to fall.
  • Let the bread cool before slicing it. This will help prevent the bread from tearing.

Conclusion:

Beer bread is a quick and easy bread to make, and it's perfect for any occasion. It's also a great way to use up leftover beer. With the right ingredients and a little bit of patience, you can make delicious beer bread in your bread machine.
