4 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced

4 large eggs
4 large egg yolks
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons (1 1/4 sticks) unsalted butter
3/4 cup frozen boysenberries, thawed, drained
1 3/4 cups chilled whipping cream
Fresh boysenberries (optional)

Steps:

  • Whisk 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar, eggs and yolks in medium stainless steel bowl to blend. Bring lemon juice and butter to boil in heavy small saucepan. Gradually whisk hot lemon mixture into egg mixture. {Step One} Set bowl over saucepan of simmering water (do not allow bottom of bowl to touch water). 1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 cup light cream
1 lemon
1/2 pint strawberry
1/2 pint raspberries

Steps:

  • Combine sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan.
  • Whisk in egg until smooth.
