3-3/4 to 4-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 packages (1/4 ounce each) active dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup 2% milk
1/2 cup butter, cubed
1/4 cup honey
3 large egg yolks. room temperature
2 tablespoons butter, melted

Steps:

  • Combine 1-1/2 cups flour, yeast and salt. In a small saucepan, heat milk, cubed butter and honey to 120°-130°. Add to dry ingredients; beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Add egg yolks; beat on high 2 minutes. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough (dough will be sticky)., Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 45 minutes., Punch down dough. ¾ cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
½ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
½ cup butter, room temperature
4 cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup butter, softened
