Time 20m

Yield 8 waffles

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 cups Bisquick baking mix (or substitute)
1 1/2 cups water
1/3 cup powdered milk (or you can use milk instead of water and powder)
2 eggs, seperated

Steps:

  • Mix mix, water, milk powder (or 1.5 cups of milk if using instead) and egg yolk with beaters until well mixed.
  • In a separate bowl, beat egg whites with clean beaters until stiff.
  • Fold egg whites into batter.

  • These can be frozen when cooled. Best if heated in microwave briefly (about 10-30 seconds depending on microwave) but can be toasted if you like them crispy.

Categories     Breakfast

Time 10m

Yield 3 waffles

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 cups Bisquick baking mix
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 egg

Steps:

  • Beat all ingredients together until well blended.
  • Pour 1 cup batter onto hot waffle iron, greased.
  • Bake until steaming slows and waffle is golden brown.
  • Makes 3 9 inch waffles.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh buttermilk, eggs, and berries will give your waffles the best flavor.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing will make the waffles tough. Just mix until the ingredients are combined.
  • Let the batter rest for a few minutes: This will allow the gluten in the flour to relax, which will also help to make the waffles tender.
  • Preheat your waffle iron: A hot waffle iron will help to cook the waffles evenly.
  • Don't overcrowd the waffle iron: Leave a little space between the waffles so that they can cook evenly.
  • Cook the waffles until they are golden brown: This will ensure that they are cooked through.
  • Serve the waffles immediately: Waffles are best when they are served hot and fresh.

Conclusion:

Bisquick waffles are a quick and easy breakfast that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are also a versatile dish that can be served with a variety of toppings, such as butter, syrup, fruit, or whipped cream. With a little practice, you can make perfect Bisquick waffles that will be a hit with your family and friends.
