SPICY HOT CARIBBEAN CHICKEN MARINADE
Steps:
- 1. Place all ingredients except chicken in food processor or blender and blend until smooth.
- 2. Pour over chicken and marinade for 2-6 hours.
- 3. No longer than 6 hours.
- 4. Grill chicken and brush with marinade.
- 5. Note: You can use serrano chiles instead of jalapenos.
Tips:
- For a flavorful marinade, use a variety of spices and herbs. Some popular choices include garlic, thyme, oregano, cumin, and paprika.
- If you're using acidic ingredients like lime or lemon juice, add them to the marinade at the end. This will prevent the acid from "cooking" the chicken.
- Be sure to marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 24 hours. Over-marinating can make the chicken tough.
- When you're ready to cook the chicken, remove it from the marinade and pat it dry. This will help the chicken brown evenly.
- Cook the chicken over medium heat until it is cooked through. Be careful not to overcook the chicken, or it will become dry and tough.
Conclusion:
With these tips in mind, you'll be able to make a delicious Caribbean chicken marinade that will add flavor and moisture to your chicken. Experiment with different spices and herbs to find your favorite combination. And don't forget to marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes before cooking. The longer you marinate the chicken, the more flavorful it will be.
