⅓ cup white sugar
½ cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 ½ cups packed brown sugar
¼ cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chopped walnuts
½ cup maraschino cherries

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease a 9 inch square pan.
  • Mix 1 cup flour, white sugar and butter by hand. Pat into pan. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes.
  • With a whisk, beat 2 eggs. Whisk in brown sugar, then add 1/4 cup flour and baking powder. Stir in nuts and cherries. Pour over baked crust.

6 egg whites
2 cups white sugar
¾ teaspoon cream of tartar
2 cups crushed saltine crackers
1 cup chopped walnuts
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 (21 ounce) cans cherry pie filling
1 (16 ounce) package frozen whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  • Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add the sugar and cream of tarter; beat until sugar is dissolved.
  • Add crackers, nuts and vanilla. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven.

1 3/4 cups crushed graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
2 cups whipped dream whipped topping (1 envelope)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (28 ounce) can cherry pie filling

Steps:

  • Prepare a 9 x 9" baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and 1 tbsp sugar; spread on bottom of prepared baking pan to form a crust.
  • Mix the Dream Whip topping according to directions on the package, then beat in the softened cream cheese into the Dream Whip a little at a time.
  • Add the remaining sugar and vanilla until well blended.
  • Smooth on top of the crust.
  • Top with the cherry pie filling.
  • Chill at least 3 hours (overnight is even better) if storing in the fridge overnight, cover with plastic wrap.

2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup butter
8 ounces cream cheese
2 cups powdered sugar
2 (21 ounce) cans cherry pie filling
8 ounces Cool Whip

1 1/4 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1 pkg. (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 can (1 lb. - 5 oz) cherry pie filling

Steps:

  • Coarsely chop nuts. Combine flour, brown sugar, and butter. Blend well until fine crumbs form. Add coconut and finely chopped nuts. Set aside ½ cup of this mixture. Firmly press remainder into bottom of greased pan. Bake @350 for 15 minutes. Beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla until smooth. Spread on hot crust. Bake for 10 minutes. Spread on Cherry Pie Filling, reserved flour sugar mix and reserved nuts. Bake an additional 15 minutes.
