Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Spray a 9x13 pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- Dump the crushed pineapple (juice and all) into bottom of pan; make sure it is evenly spread on bottom.
- Dump the cherry pie filling on top of the pineapple; make sure it is evenly spread on top.
- Dump the dry cake mix over the top, spreading evenly across the top.
- Melt the margarine in microwave (or stove top if you prefer).
- Using a large serving spoon, evenly put melted margarine over top of dry cake mix, making sure it goes clear to the edge and the dry cake mix is covered. (You may not have to use all of the margarine. I just melt that much so that I will have extra in case I have trouble spreading it).
- Bake for 60 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Check it often toward the end of cooking because it should only be golden brown and it is easy to get it too brown.

Steps:
- 1. Mix pie filling and pineapple together, then pour into a buttered 9x12 inch pan. Sprinkle dry cake mix over that. Pour melted margarine over top, then top with chopped pecans. Bake 350 (until golden brown over the top), about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Tips:
- Use fresh or frozen cherries: Fresh cherries are best, but frozen cherries can be used if fresh cherries are not available. If using frozen cherries, thaw them before using.
- Pit the cherries: Before using the cherries, be sure to pit them. You can use a cherry pitter to make this task easier.
- Use a variety of spices: The recipes in this article use a variety of spices, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Feel free to experiment with different spices to find the combination that you like best.
- Don't overcook the cherries: Cherries are best when they are cooked just until they are tender. Overcooking them will make them mushy.
- Serve warm or cold: Cherry dump cake can be served warm or cold. If you serve it warm, top it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Conclusion:
Cherry dump cake is a classic dessert that is easy to make and always a hit. With its simple ingredients and delicious flavor, it's a perfect dessert for any occasion. Whether you're serving it for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion, cherry dump cake is sure to be a hit.
